01. Where does the training take place?

We specialise in workplace-based training, i.e. we come to you. A workplace-based delivery model minimises work disruption. Some of our courses are delivered fully online. 

02. What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship combines paid employment with structured training, allowing individuals to earn an income while gaining a nationally recognized qualification and practical workplace experience.

03. Do I have to be an apprentice to undertake a formal qualification?

No, you don’t have to be an apprentice to undertake a formal qualification.

04. What are the benefits of undertaking an apprenticeship?

Benefits include obtaining a nationally accredited qualification, earning an income during training, avoiding student debts, gaining hands-on experience, and facilitating a smooth transition into employment.

05. How much can I earn as an apprentice?

Apprentice wages vary based on industry and experience. While earnings are typically less than those of fully qualified tradespeople, apprentices receive a minimum wage, along with entitlements like paid leave and superannuation.

06. Can I start an apprenticeship at 15?

Yes, individuals can commence an apprenticeship at 15 years of age, as this meets the minimum working age requirement.

07. What is the role of an RTO in an apprenticeship?

The RTO is responsible for providing formal training and assessment to apprentices, developing a Training Plan in collaboration with the employer and apprentice, and ensuring that the apprentice meets industry standards through both on-the-job and off-the-job training.

08. Can I change employers during my apprenticeship?

Yes, changing employers during an apprenticeship is possible but requires coordination. You’ll need consent from both your current and prospective employers, completion of a transfer application form, and lodging the necessary paperwork with the relevant state authority.

09. How much does a formal qualification cost?

This depends on the qualification, but being NSW Smart and Skilled providers, we can offer heavily subsidised or fee free training depending on where you are.

10. Do you have fixed intake periods?

No, you or your workforce can enrol whenever it suits you. That’s the beauty of having workplace-based delivery and an RTO that can work flexibly to suit your needs. 

11. What is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)?

An RTO is an accredited organisation authorised to deliver vocational education and training (VET) services, assess competency, and issue nationally recognised qualifications.

12. What's the difference between a RTO and TAFE?

RTOs (Registered Training Organisations) and TAFEs (Technical and Further Education) are both Australian providers of vocational education and training (VET). RTOs are often more specialised, while TAFEs offer a broader range of courses.

TAFE is a government-owned system that provides education and official diplomas and certificates and RTO on the other hand, are private organisations that provide nationally recognised training services in VET — vocational education and training.

13. What services does Fusion Training Solutions offer?
