First Aid
This skill set describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Participants in this course will learn basic first aid techniques including CPR, the use of defibrillation equipment, common bandaging, and other knowledge information to assist you should you ever be required to perform first aid.
Upon successful completion of this training you will receive a nationally recognized statement of attainment for the following units of competency (units may vary):
- HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life support
- HLTAID003 Provide first aid
